Environmental Solutions (ES) was established in May 2007 as a spin off for the waste management and solid control division of Seaharvest Free Zone (SHVST) operating in Algeria. It has inherited all SHVST history and it operates its entire ongoing contracts. Environmental Solutions target is to expand its operation aggressively in the Middle East & North African (MENA) region. Environmental Solutions is a sister company for Timgad Energy, Seaharvest (Egypt), Seaharvest SARL (Algeria).
The start up of the waste management division took place 10 years ago, as a response to the growing need across the MENA region for the handling and treating of drilling wastes in both on & off shore activities.
Since then and based on the following factors:
The continuous rise in the worlds' consumption of both Oil & Gas led to a major increase in the amount of Drilling and Production Operations in the Oil & Gas sectors.
The increased focus on saving the environment, and the growing importance of HSE culture, implemented through increased civil society pressure, companies internal moral commitment, raised public opinions, and the enforcement of laws, in addition to the increased awareness of social and environmental responsibility.
The need to have regional companies that have better knowledge of their specific regions and can give the required focus & commitment to make a change in the presence of 2 or 3 international companies only specialized in this domain.
The company took successful steps to commit to the required investment in both machinery and personnel, for building an equipment fleet capable of meeting the company's projected scope of operations, and hiring the personnel qualified for operating the machinery. The steps, the company took under its long experienced management team, positioned it as a first class regional Waste Management Company in the MENA region.
